Today was "Grey Pride", our early Holden clubs' combined run to Berrima. This year it was the FE-HR HOC ACT's turn to host it, which meant we just had to turn up and enjoy ourselves. And that we did. The Canberra guys put on food, which was great. It meant I never even had to leave the display, which was handy because I was pretty busy.
With Geoff and the other NSW Committee members' assistance, I've been working for some time on a methodology for including "Authenticity" as a factor in the judging of cars in the Stock Class. Much more will be published about authenticity on this site as we get closer to 2010, but this was the first time we had tried our new system out on a bunch of vehicles. It was also our opportunity to talk Graham, Julius, Colin and others from the ACT Club through what we were planning and why. We're very pleased with the positive response the idea received, and with input from the interstate delegates we hope to be able to refine and test the process at other events prior to Orange. Also, I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who purchased Jelly Babies and other items from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation fund-raiser.
