The first Nats were held in 1988 in Ballarat, Victoria hosted by the newly formed Victorian club ,with vehicles from South Aust, NSW & Vic attending. Since then the Nats have grown and evolved over the years with the 13th Nats in Orange N.S.W. in 2010 seeing 164 FE & FC Holdens from all over Australia attending. The four days over Easter every second year see owners getting together again to enjoy a weekend full of socializing and competition.
The FE-FC Holden Car Club of WA after being formed in 2003, first attended the Nationals in 2005 in Jindabyne. Blacky & Dave flew across. Brad & Gemma and Surferboy & Cathy driving their 2 FCs across the Nullabor to meet up with the South Aust. and Victorian clubs to cruise together into Jindabyne * . We have had members and vehicles attending each Nationals since then. In 2008 we had a total of 7 vehicles and 17 people make the trip across the country to celebrate the FCs 50th Anniversary at the Mt Gambier Nationals. And we have already started planning for our trip to Tasmania in 2014.
* Should I mention here that we won the Inter Club Challenge (or would that be boasting )

'Come for the weekend'.
Having made the journey East to attend previous Nationals a number of times we understand the huge committment it takes to attend. We encourage all our visitors to take advantage of the trip across the Nullabor and use this opportunity to enjoy our city and our state. We encourage you to take your time and enjoy the attractions the City of Perth has to offer. Take advantage of the extended accommodation discount the Country Comfort Hotel has offered to stay a little longer. Whether you take the direct route through the states Gold country or take the time to take the long and winding roads through the magnificent South West we are sure you will enjoy everything our magnificent state has to offer.
'stay for a holiday'.
Recent nationals have been themed around various 50th anniversaries. The FEs 50th in Victoria, the FCs 50th in South Aust and the 50th anniversary of touring car racing in NSW. While driving home across the Nullabor after celebrating the FCs 50th anniversary in Mt Gambier Surferboy and Cathy discussed our 2012 Nats and the events of 1962 worth celebrating, but couldn't come up with a single good idea. " If we can't celebrate an anniversary, then lets have a wedding !" suggests Surferboy. "YES" replies Cathy. So on April 8th 2012 you are invited to
'come for the wedding'
The 14th Nationals Logo
The logo for the 14th FE-FC Holden Nats is based on the design of the badge used for the 1958 Mobilgas Round Australia Trial It incorporates the state of Western Australia with the image of a simplified FE (right half) and FC (left half) steering wheel
The Committee & Members of the FE-FC Holden Car Club of WA look forward to seeing you in 2012
