Public Liability and Third Party Insurance requirements dictate that these rules must be adhered to. Vehicles that are not legally registered endanger the safety of fellow participants, the public and the ability of the clubs to run events such as the Nationals. The organising committee reserve the right to demand proof that cars participating in the event are street-legal. Therefore, we ask you to ensure that the details of your vehicle held by your local Transport Department are correct and up-to-date. Being Easter, there is a blitz on speeding, drink-driving, seat-belt and other offences across NSW. If you have proof (registration papers etc) that show the engine and chassis numbers for your vehicle, we recommend that you carry them with you. For those entrants with modified vehicles: if your vehicle was registered with an engineer's certificate, we strongly recommend you have a copy of it with you, should you be challenged regarding the modifications done to your car. New South Wales Police have the power to confiscate vehicles that are not legally registered, and that could really spoil your weekend. Sorry if all that sounds a bit heavy, but we have a duty to ensure our people are doing the right thing.
