FE-FCs at NSW All Holden Day Print E-mail

Next Sunday is the NSW All Holden Day, at Clarendon Showground.

As we have done every year since the AHD's inception, the NSW Club will participate officially in the event. We hope to have a record number of cars in our display this year (the record currently stands at 26 club cars). Ted's "Project Orange" will be there, and there'll also be a couple of other special guests this year...

Brochures and Entry Forms for the Nationals will be available at our display. If you'd like to talk to club members about the event, the 24th NSW All Holden Day will be great opportunity.

See you there!

Disappointment strikes... Print E-mail

We had something pretty special planned as one of the mementoes of the 13th Nationals. I'd mentioned it obliquely earlier.

Unfortunately, at the 11th hour, the supplier has let us down. The manufacturers refuse to do the limited quantity originally promised, and the minimum order just wouldn't be feasible.

I'm pretty annoyed. Had the manufacturers told us that at the time, we could have looked at other avenues. Now it's too late.

Oh well, it's not like we haven't got some other nice stuff organised. But I'm glad we hadn't said anything about this particular item, so others don't have to share my disappointment.

Rumour has it... (updated) Print E-mail

The NSW Club had a run up the Blue Mountains today, to visit the Leura Toy and Train Museum, followed by a bit of a cruise through the mountains. Beautiful day for it, and a great turn-out of club members.

But I heard that one of our club members is working on getting one of the projects in his shed ready for Orange. This is exciting news, as the car in question is exceedingly rare, especially in the complete condition that this particular unit is in.

Can't wait. Hope it goes well. By all accounts, so far so good. Cool

Update: Gary has decided to publish the story and photos of this vehicle's build-up, which is an original FC 3 door Ambulance. You can follow the story on the forum.

Forms, forms, forms Print E-mail

As you might have seen, the Entry Form for the 13th Nationals has been published at last. (There's just the odd reference to it on the site. Wink)

The form is actually made up of 3 pages at this point:

  • the Entry Form itself;
  • the Terms & Conditions to be read in conjunction with the form; and
  • a Vehicle Details form.

There's a yet-to-be-finalised 4th form which will be ready Real Soon Now. That is, of course, the Merchandise form. We've got a bunch of items that will be available for you to buy as mementos of the 13th Nationals, but we haven't quite got the form ready to print.

We going to have as much of the merchandise as possible available for you to look at here on the website, so that you can have a clear idea of what you're ordering.

We're pretty excited about the range of items that will be available. There are quite a few options that have never been produced as Nationals memorabilia before. So watch this space!

And they're off! Print E-mail

The day has finally come. We're as ready as we can be. The Entry Form has been published on the site, and I just hope we haven't forgotten to include something important on it.

Download it, and check out the other info on the site here that explains the various items in more detail.

Then fill it in and post it back to us.
